Tender Description

To be able to receive the project documents you will need to sign our St Hilliers Deed Poll as a confidentiality agreement.

NOTE: This tender requires works at multiple Defence bases throughout QLD.

The Department of Defence has been running an RCD compliance program on the Defence Estate for a number of years, with priority 1 and 2 distribution boards/switchboards completed and priority 3 distribution boards approaching completion. The NA11127 National RCD Survey Consultancy Priorities 4&5 – Compliance, identified the final priority works required to complete this RCD program.

The aim of the program is to increase personnel protection from electric shocks that may arise from an electrical installation that is used with reasonable care and due regard to the intended purpose of the electrical installation. This is to be achieved by installing Residual Current Devices (RCDs) on circuits required by AS/NZS 3000:2018 - The Wiring Rules to protect against earth leakage current.

The purpose of this Project is to replace miniature circuit breakers within existing Distribution Boards feeding all single phase and three phase final sub-circuits up to and including 32A with RCDs/RCBOs as deemed necessary under current legislative WHS requirements, Australian Standards and mandatory Defence Standards relating to WHS.
