Loreto College, Ballarat – Lift & Stair Upgrades

Tender Description

The proposed works will cover the removal of an existing stair and replacement with new lift and stair
systems complete with other upgrades to improve access across multiple floor levels of the Residential
Building and St Anne’s Wing.
The works are to cover;
. The inlay of a new stair and lift systems providing access to multiple levels
including intermediate levels servicing adjacent buildings and external courtyard
areas.
. The cladding of structural lift shafts and stairways, with the facade to include a
curtain wall system.
. The inclusion of entry structures, complete with steps and ramps to improve access
and provide weather protection (for staff and students).
. The lifting of existing floor levels along veranda passageways to remove steps at
entries to classrooms and support areas.
. The enclosing of open verandas (via new window systems) to prevent the entry of
weather.
. General patching and making good of existing surfaces, affected by the works.
. The lifting of pavement levels within the courtyard to improve access and provide
students with flexible outdoor teaching and play areas.
