Tender Description

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (NSW Code) and the NSW Government's Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to the tendered works. By submitting a tender, the tenderer acknowledges its understanding and agreement that:

• compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is an essential condition to being considered for the tender;
• by submitting an expression of interest or tender response, the tenderer agrees to comply with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines on all future projects, including privately funded projects, to which the NSW Guidelines apply, whether or not successful in this tender; and
• any party which is precluded from performing works to which the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines apply is excluded from consideration for the tender.

Ulmarra is located on the banks of the Clarence River. The Clarence River extends nearly 400km from the Dividing Ranges in Queensland to Yamba. The Clarence is the east coast’s largest river system covering a catchment area of 22,716km2 and contains 56 sub catchments.

The project focuses on the area between the riverfront and Ulmarra Showground, while also considering the surrounding links and views.
Specifically, the study area is comprised of:
• The Clarence river foreshore between the old loading wharf within Memorial Park and the boat ramp located within Bailey Park
• The village precinct along River Street between property 20A River Street and Belmore Street. Coldstream Street from the foreshore as far east as Small Park (Ulmarra Showground)
• Sections of Small Street (current A1 Pacific Highway) that denote a sense of arrival

Construction will start in late 2021/Early 2022.
The works will include;

Bailey Park redevelopment:
New toilet block
New playground with a water play feature
New seating, shelters, park lighting
New footpaths
New shade trees
Footpath connection to town

The village heart full redevelopment includes:
Improved pedestrian accessibility
Traffic calming
Landscaping of Coldstream St
New street furniture
