Tender Description

Early Works Package 1 Scope
The scope of the early works is summarised below. The completion of Early Works Package 1 will
allow the commencement of further early works packages throughout 2022.
Aged Care Building Demolition
The Early Works Package 1 scope includes but is not limited to the following items. Tenderer to refer
to Part E and Part F of the Tender Documentation for the detailed scope of works.
• Demolition of the existing two storey residential care building on Edward Street (Edward Street
Nursing Home), and associated site works and services.
• In addition to the demolition of the concrete and masonry building, the works will include the
demolition of the existing paving and pathways along the perimeter of the nursing home.
• Removal of hazardous materials identified in the site investigation reports.
• Disconnection, isolation and removal of inground services including sewer drains, water supply
pipework, fire services and gas pipework associated with the nursing building as noted in the
documentation.
• Existing in ground services that traverse the Early Works site area and service the rest of the
facility and main building, will be required to remain in place, maintained and operational during the
demolition works.
• Major stormwater drainage system serving the rest of the site will be required to be maintained and
operational during the demolition works.
• Make good and installation of temporary drainage solutions and crushed rock to existing ground
level.
